On your email invoice, if an item is out of stock, it will be removed from your order. Where possible, you'll be given a due date for
availability, and offered you the chance to backorder it
as part of your purchases - or to be notified when the
item is back on the shelf. That said, lead times depend
on availability from distributors / manufacturers, but
this will be checked with them before quoting a timescale.
In those instances where a particular item is out of stock,
this is generally down to lack of availability with the
distributor - sometimes even due to the manufacturer having
suspended production of a particular item in 'busy periods'.
Generally, if we can't get hold of something it's actually
not there to be had!
