Arcane Challenge Painting Competition Winners!

Firstly, a huge thanks to all the entrants - the number of submissions exceeded our expectations and the overall standard was excellent, with all judges commenting on the inventiveness and skills on display. However, the consensus on the winning entries was arrived at fairly quickly, as several of these miniatures really stood out from the crowd - so congratulations (and prizes!) are due to the following...

1st Place: Damned of Anger, by Rob Cardiss

Rob wins £150.00 of vouchers to spend on this website, along with a Vallejo Game Color Presentation Box Set. In an extremely close run thing, Rob's mini *just* edged it with some of the fine touches and details that make you look at the mini again and again... and again!

2nd Place: Red Riding Hood by Luke Wilson:
Luke wins £50.00 of vouchers to spend on this website, along with the Confrontation AoR Starter Set. There is some great painting on this - we all loved the tartan and the 'see through' effects on the stockings.

3rd Place: Skorne Cannoneer by Andrey Tatarinov:
Andrey wins £25.00 of vouchers to spend on this website, along with the Army Painter Spray cans. His Skorne Titan was agreed to be a well representative of the range it comes from, and perfectly captures the lumbering feel of the model itself.

Honourable Mentions:
As said, there was a real battle to pick the final three, which means that some entries missed out by only the smallest of margins - so, Honourable Mentions (and £10 vouchers to spend go to:

David Heathfield - Hassassin Ragik

Andy Marshall and Stef Ashwell of Minipainters Miniatures for their time and good humour in being involved!

Here ends the 2nd Arcane Challenge. The third Challenge will be taking place early in 2009.
